Can you build a modular home from my plans and ideas?
Yes! We can, and would certaintly like to. Please feel free to bring in any drawings, ideas, floor plans, other prints, pictures, ect., so we can work together and design your new dream home.
What is a modular home and how does it differ from a "stick framed" home?
A modular home is a house that is constructed and built within a factory controlled enviornment and setting. This home is then transported to your site. A stick framed home is a house built on your actual construction site. These homes can often endure harsh weather and enviornment that can hinder your home. However, the difference in construction from these two styles of building is very little.
Can I be my own General Contractor and finish myself or subcontract out this work to save money?
Yes! You can, and we will sell a home to you. We offer drop and set packages for homeowners who wish to be their own G.C. Call and set up an appointment to disscuss these options.
Do I need to contact and hire contractors for a drop and set package?
You can use any contractor you like or know, it's your choice, but we can also provide you with a list a local contractors that we have worked with and have experience with modular construction.
How long is this project from start to finish?
This can vary in time due to the size of the particular project.
Will the modular home meet my local codes and restrictions?
Yes, the modular home needs to meet your local codes and restrictions. Our manufacturer, Apex Homes, Inc., knows these codes well and works within them.
